Houndstooth

Houndstooth is a classic doutone texturized pattern charactered by the more traditional black and white broken checks but has been seen in other color combinations as well. Houndstooth originated in the Scottish Lowland but was first used in the U.S. dating back to the late 1800’s by a high end New York based clothier that specialized in both men’s and women’s fashion.

I chose a few special pieces by a few of my favorite designers Joe Fresh, Vince Camuto, and Chinese Laundry. I have also seen some amazing pieces by the oh so fabulous Ferragamo. Black and white is always in season and there is something very classy, sophisticated and chic about this timeless pattern. Every closet should have at least one item in houndstooth, whether belt, handbag or scarf, I guarantee you’ll get good wear of it. Thanks for checking in…AV
